Alain K. Takane, MD, MPH
Geriatrician
Dr. Alain Takane grew up in Hilo and is a graduate of the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa John A. Burns School of Medicine where she received her Master’s in Public Health degree in Social and Behavioral Health sciences. She is a board-certified family practitioner and completed her family medicine residency at Hilo Medical Center and trained at the Hawaiʻi Island Family Health Center. Additionally, she completed the geriatric medicine fellowship training program with the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa.
This unique training combination has prepared her to treat patients of all ages along with a deep understanding of the many medical issues affecting our aging kūpuna population. She enjoys filling her free time with good books, great adventures, and the rambunctious joy of her four-legged fur buddies.
