Eddie Mafnas

Chef Eddie Mafnas began working with Wahiawā Health in December 2020 by coordinating a community effort to prepare ready-to-go meals to anyone in need of food assistance. Eddie enlisted local farmers in Wahiawā, Kunia and neighboring areas, along with fellow chefs, food preparation volunteers and Wahiawā Health staff, to prepare and distribute 500 to-go meals every day for 10 days during the holiday season. Eddie has served on the Wahiawā Health board since 2021 and offers expertise in food safety and security. Eddie is a graduate of Kapiolani Community College’s award-winning culinary arts program and has worked as an executive chef and chef instructor in varying roles around the island. He is currently involved with the non-profit organization, Kupu, which offers a culinary cohort to at-risk youth to teach them a very valuable skill and offer employment opportunities. Eddie enjoys fishing in his downtime along with traveling to new places.
