WAHIAWĀ, Hawai‘i – Wahiawā Center for Community Health (Wahiawā Health), a federally qualified health center, announced that Dr. Renee Foster has joined the team as a Doctor of Nursing Practice. 

Dr. Foster is a Board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and a Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than twenty-five years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in both the medical and mental health settings. 

Dr. Foster received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing at Southeastern Louisiana University, her Master of Nursing degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Loyola University of New Orleans, and both her post-master’s degree as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Doctor of Nursing Practice at the University of South Alabama. 

Dr. Foster has worked at Queen’s Medical Centers in the mental health and emergency department and Kaiser Permanente in the mental health department and outpatient mental health clinics. Dr. Foster strives to help children, adolescents, and adults achieve both their medical and mental health goals, while respecting the culture and values of every patient. 

In her free time, Dr. Foster enjoys cooking, going to the beach, and spending time with her family. Dr. Foster is a resident of Ewa Beach.

Wahiawā Health accepts most major insurance and provides a sliding-fee scale for uninsured patients. Staff members can assist patients with insurance enrollment.
