Kuʻuleikūponookealoha Nāahiʻelua MSN, APRN-Rx, AGNP-C, BC-ADM, PMHNP-BC is a triple-board certified Nurse Practitioner obtaining her undergraduate degree in Social Work at the University of Washington, a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Hawaiʻi, and her Post-Master’s certificate as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Johns Hopkins University. She has worked with the underserved on O’ahu for the last seven years after completing a Nurse Practitioner Residency in the first cohort at the Waiʻanae Coast Comprehensive Health Center. Kuʻuleikūponookealoha is obtaining her Ph.D. in Mind-Body Medicine and Integrative Mental Health at Saybrook University studying breathwork and its role in improving stress resilience among low-income populations. She is a fellow of the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine and the Integrative Psychiatry Institute where she has expanded her training to incorporate therapeutics and modalities to address the mind, body, and spirit. She is passionate about Native Hawaiian health and bridging the gap between the advances in both psychiatric and diabetic specialties within low-income communities and providing quality patient care and cutting-edge medicine to patients who would otherwise not have access. She seeks to empower and equip her patients with comprehensive knowledge to improve their health and well-being. Her vision for the future of healthcare on Oʻahu in underserved populations led her to pursue the Master of Clinical Service Operations at Harvard Medical School. At home, she enjoys spending time with her wife and their four teenage children cooking, reading, playing music, and practicing regenerative organic gardening and agroecology.
