The Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) awarded Wahiawā Health two Community Health Quality Recognition (CHQR) badges, recognizing us for making notable quality improvement achievements in the areas of access, quality, and health equity, during 2023. We are proud to receive the Health Disparities Reducer Award for improving low birth weight, hypertension control and uncontrolled diabetes among ethnic groups, and the Access Enhancer Award for increasing our total patient count as well as treating patients receiving mental health, substance use disorder, or enabling services.

School and Sports Physicals

Immunizations are required for all students entering childcare or preschool, kindergarten, seventh grade, and post-secondary school, and for students entering school in Hawai‘i for the first time.

Face Mask Policy

Patients are encouraged to wear a face mask. Face masks will be available for patients that request one. Patients with COVID symptoms will be asked to wear an N-95 face mask. Your provider will see you in person wearing protective gear. Social distancing is still recommended in waiting areas.

Quit Tobacco Program

Wahiawā Health offers a Quit Tobacco Program to help patients stop using tobacco. Our team of certified Tobacco Treatment Specialists (TTS) are here to support patients on their journey to be tobacco-free. The Quit Tobacco program includes any type of tobacco product such as vapes, e-cigs, chew tobacco or cigarettes. The program is open to all adult Wahiawā Health patients.

Wahiawā Health urges preventative health care as it was announced that Wahiawā General Hospital closed its emergency room on March 18.

Wahiawā Health is not an urgent care or emergency facility.
We are open for routine medical care and can be reached at (808) 622-1618.

The closest emergency rooms are located at Pali Momi and Queen’s West. If you are facing a life-threatening emergency situation, please dial 911.

Wahiawā Health Offers Comprehensive Care for your ʻOhana

Our comprehensive health services include a variety of health screening across our departments including X-rays, cancer detection, communicable diseases, vision, hearing, and more.

If the office is closed and you need to talk to your provider about a non-threatening but urgent medical condition, please call Physicians Exchange (808) 524-2575. If you have a life-threatening emergency, call 911 or go to the emergency room.

Primary Care & Internal Medicine

Our care team provides a variety health screenings and physical exams to keep you healthy and to detect possible diseases in the early stages when treatment is the most effective. Routine immunizations, family planning, and disease management are also offered by our highly qualified providers.

Women’s Health

Wahiawā Health’s expanded women’s services include full OB/GYN care through our partnerships and pediatric department.

Men’s Health

We understand the importance of providing services that meet the specific needs of our community and the need to offer high-quality, affordable care.

Pediatrics

Our pediatric services specialize in caring for the youngest members of your ʻohana. Our services help keiki grow up healthy from birth to adulthood.

Behavioral Health

We can evaluate the mind-body-behavior connection to help improve the choices you make about your health.

Podiatry

Our podiatry department specializes in diagnosis and treatment of conditions and disorders of the foot, ankle, and lower leg, as well as performing foot and ankle surgery. Our providers work closely with the care and treatment of diabetic patients.

Quality Healthcare for Wahiawā

Our mission: “In the spirit of Aloha and compassion, Wahiawā Health provides access to affordable, quality health care and wellness services to promote a healthy community.”

Who We Are

Founded in 2012, Wahiawā Health’s inception was the direct result of a vision held by the late Sen. Daniel Inouye who wanted to ensure the residents of this geographically isolated area would have access to comprehensive health care. The Hawaiʻi congressional delegation now considers this community health center one of six Sen. Inouye Legacy Projects. Following its inception, Wahiawā Health has worked tirelessly to establish itself as a community resource available to all in need. Wahiawā Health is now designated as a Federally Qualified Health Center Look Alike (FQHC-LAL) as well as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit entity as of January 2018. Dedicated to the health and wellness of the community, Wahiawā Health serves residents of Central Oʻahu (Wahiawā, Mililani, Waialua and Kunia) and the North Shore.
